My say... # 145

One has to be a liar at some point, to keep a secret.

My say... # 144

Secrets are never meant to be. They are not safe with anyone after its told, because it wasn't even safe with you.

My say... # 143

To make good friends for life, one should think beyond religion.

My say... # 142

To have some days gap in between, till we have our next talk with a close friend/family is always good, since we will have more things to talk about, and less chances for unnecessary arguments and fights as we run out of topics

My say... # 141

Some people are so greedy, when they're offered some space out of courtesy, they will occupy the whole space and claim it to be theirs.

My say... # 138

The most funniest joke and the most humiliating mockery in a group shares a common victim. It depends on the group members' perspective.

My say... # 137

As we progress in life, we get so busier that we neglect the simple things in life which brings us immense happiness

My say... # 136

By the time I end my day and go to sleep, I am a different person from what I was when I woke up that morning. I know I am changing every minute, to good or bad. I guess every one does. There was a time I considered myself an extrovert, but now I'm more reserved, less socializing and an introvert by preference.

My say... # 135

In a non-US country, we live our life with a mental calculation of what to perform and accomplish at what age until one day we grow old and realize that we haven't really done anything for ourselves. If only people don't put an age bar to finish studying or get married, or have children, or get their children married, or even retire from their job, life will be better enjoyed.

My say... # 134

Many of us live  half our life, giving more importance to the society, than ourselves, inspite of realizing the fact that we are the individuals at loss and nothing effects the people who make up this society.

When life gives you apples, just have it. Don't go in search of oranges.

My say... # 132

I always did my paintings in my most cheerful mood; it turns out visually beautiful. And I usually write when I am not necessarily cheerful, my writes would express multiple emotions. Today, I switched the moods with the hobbies. My paintings turned more expressive than my words did.

My say... # 131

Every person in this world reaches a certain point in life when a particular experience(s) teaches him to be a good listener rather than a good talker. Once he learns that, he'll automatically know when to listen and when to talk.

My say... # 130

Even relationship needs to have differences which leads to a fight, inorder to get clarity on the other persons viewpoint; as long as the participants of the fight are not stupidly stubborn to not listen to another.

My say... # 129

Even the most generous reception like 'hospitality' can become annoying when you persistently insist someone to do/accept something they don't like. And these extremities people named it 'family traditions'.

My say... # 128

The constantly changing trends have the power to change the effects of many senseless restrictions people attach to religion. Or is it religion(s)  which stop mankind from doing what is necessary?!!

My say ... # 127

If a  question gives rise to discussions, which ends up in an argument and finally you fight, never question again.

Writing your heart out is like a cut on your skin, you bleed out words.

My say... # 123

All humans are born racist. If not, why are we so obsessed with having fair complexion?

My say... # 122

While I'm trying hard having more privacy in my life, sometimes my frankness speaks out more than what is needed,  giving a chance to others inquisitiveness steal my privacy. Sigh!

My Say.. # 121

Everybody has their own set of rules in life and everybody wants to advice others in forcing them on following their way. If only they have a better way, by demonstrating their way on themselves and let people learn from observations, would it be more convincing to follow.

My say... # 120

Do me a favor! Do it yourself. No body can do it better that you.

My say.. # 119

Favors are meant to be asked from people who have already proved to be trustworthy, and not from people who expect from others, but are miser to give the same back.

My say... # 118

Next time you avoid someone because they lack something, think about the things you lack.

My say... # 117

At times, I rather stay dumb and listen than to interrupt another inorder to put forth my point

My say... # 116

The grace of humanity lies in a simple act of courtesy.

My say... # 115

Never steal a light sleeper's precious sleep, or their snores will robbed you your precious sleep.

My say... # 114

Boredom is like a water pipeline with a blockage. The pressure inside can leak out unraveling new talents or just break with an overflow of frustration. It's up to us how to handle the pressure.

My say... # 113

It takes lot of courage to accept ones mistake and apologize for it. It takes  lot more generosity to forgive and accept the person no matter how bad a mistake he has committed

My say... # 112

Men always see only the big picture, whereas women particularly emphacise on the details.

My husband would always stress on "don't go for the details, look at the big picture". Today I realized the actual reason behind this. when I asked my husband to bring  glasses at the dinner table, he looked around the kitchen, a 360° glance (probably that's called the big picture)rather than specifically look into the cupboard where we normally keep the crockeries. Of course, at that instant, I remembered my dad and bro, for whom my mom and me would search for a lot of stuff that seem invisible to them :p

My say... # 111

Denial of identity is when people close their face and you don't see their reply to your smile

My say... # 110

Two common mistakes made by individuals bought up in a conservative society is
1. Not accepting the cultural differences in the world outside their society
2. Judging a person based on his/her appearance, dressing and other physical attributes.

My say... # 109

Before you go to sleep, think of all the reasons that made you sad today and release all the tension with a long exhale. Take your time! And now think of all the reasons you were happy for today, wear your big smile, close your eyes and take a deep breath in your own relaxing pace. I bet you'll get a sleep as wonderful as you feel.

My say... # 108

Unrestrained dominating turbulent emotions about the world and its odds, refrains man from appreciating its contrary, and hence not revealing the poet in him

My say... # 107

People who self impose  a lot of existing and non-existing religious restrictions and also force it on others, are the last kind, one should encounter in life, when on an urge to follow and fulfill one's dreams

My say... # 106

Not my say, but feels so true.

When you are the victim of depression, not only do you feel utterly helpless and abandoned by the world, you also know that very few people can understand, or even begin to believe, that life can be this painful. - by writer/poet, Giles Andreae.

My say... # 105

Some people have made me realize that when they are in a deep shit they are capable of making anybody feel miserable.

My say... # 104

Don't feel bad when somebody envies you. Feel good about it, because this person is trying hard to be like you.

My say... # 103

For some people, with age grows even ego. To such an extent that, their ego gives them the wisdom with which they dream of making the world work the way they want to, not realizing the constant change.

My say... # 102

Appreciate a person for his newly developed talent in life, no matter how silly it might be or at what age he might have developed it at. Those little words of encouragement will not only motivate him to improve in this new art, but also strengthen his interests and self esteem in the other things he does in life.

Sugar and fat in junk food is as bad to anybody, as sex and violence is for a young kid.

My say... # 100

People and situations are two things which make me realize a lot of things, every passing day. One thing that I realize over and over is that people never  really grow up, they just learn to act when situations arise.

My 100th say is a special one, for I look back to the day I started this blog, going through the old quotations I made, may it be out of observation, experience or a result of my day dreaming, I laugh for myself, how situations have changed my thinking, every day passed by teaching me something new; yet there are these sayings i agree upon even after seven long years. I hope I continue writing on this blog no matter how busier life gets.

My say... # 99

When I see good things and bad things in a person, (when asked, by other people about him)  I only talk about the good I have seen, because people carry a word about what I say about him, rather than knowing the person in real.

My say... # 98

The beauty of a person doesn't lie in his appearance, but his character

My say... # 97

Do people really have to be so frank that they make an already uncomfortable person feel even more out of place?

Sunday, August 3, 2014

My say... # 96

It is okay for a person or his loved one to boast about him once in a while. If this person always maintains a low profile, how will others even know what he is good at?

My say... # 95

Silence is like the thick layer of cream on top of a pastry. We crave for it,We want to have more of it, but an overdosage gets intoxicating.

My say... # 94

I wish there were time machines in real. The world would have been a better place, undoing things which were never meant to be.

My say... # 93

Cynicism everywhere!

My say... # 92

Sometimes we spends so much time thinking about the people who have hurt us at some point of time, that we forget to think about those people who have made us feel good in some or the other way.

My say... # 90

There is never an existance of good or bad. In other words, there is nothing absolute.  It is only how optimistic or pessimistic we are about a particular thing.

My say... # 89

Treating all your burdens as blessings will help you handle it more smoothly, progressing to just one step away from success.

My say... # 88

One other reason which goes unnoticed, about people getting angry (or rather aggressive) is for the guilt they feel hearing to an 'ingenuous' truth.

My say... # 87

Best of thoughts flow through the mind only when i am all alone. These few minutes of solitude is what makes me rhyme my experiences, with words.

My say... # 84

Over expectations from the people around only make the mind get depressed.

Wednesday, June 18, 2014

My say... # 83

Curiosity is a good thing! When it's good, your mind creates questions, for which you can simply find answers. But as long as you are able to find the answers yourself, it turns out to be a good thing.

Curiosity may become a bad thing when it gets complicated. Complications generally happen with too many things involved. In this case too many people to ask answers from.
And when it gets complicated, curiosity may lead to confusion, confusion may lead to anxiety, anxiety may lead to frustration, frustration to depression,  and depression can be fatal.

So, curiosity did kill the cat!

Meditation and music together makes an effective pain killer.
